02 / DIMENSIONS

Choose the size that fits

Start with the display size. Keep a high-quality original separately and make a working copy for each use. A larger file does not automatically make a small preview clearer.

  • For a page image, check the actual layout width first.
  • High-density screens can benefit from extra pixels, but the right balance depends on the page.
  • Keep the aspect ratio locked unless stretching is intentional.
03 / DELIVERY

Make the handover clear

A good filename and a small note can save another round of questions. Keep source files separate from prepared copies.

  • Use names that describe the subject and version.
  • Include rights or attribution notes when the source requires them.
  • Open the exported file once before you send it.
